(for full information go to Terms)
Park Open dates for 2025 are from 17th April to 13th September inclusive. (The Park is closing a little earlier than usual for family reasons)
On the A30 just past Bodmin follow the signs for the A391 St Austell road. Where the A391 joins the A390 turn LEFT, ( NOT RIGHT for Carlyon Bay as is signposted). Approximately 400yds further on you will see our brown Tourism sign saying to turn right at the roundabout. (A3082 to Fowey) ½ mile further on turn right as signposted into the private avenue and then after 400yards turn right into our entrance before the Stone Archway.
From the A38 Plymouth direction, at the end of the Liskeard bypass section of dual carriageway join the A390 until you reach the second signed junction to the A3082 which is off the ROUNDABOUT just past the Britannia Inn. (If Sat Nav suggests turning into Penny's Lane as a shortcut, please ignore, the lane is not suitable for large vehicles)
Turn left at the roundabout, then ½ mile further on turn right as signposted and we are about 400yds along on the right hand side, before the Stone Archway.
We are a family park and we expect quiet from 11pm to 8am.
Please be aware that in the late evening chatting, laughing even at normal volume levels in a tent, awning or outside under a gazebo will be excessive when the rest of the Park is quiet.
Although it tends to get light early, we expect that children will not be out playing until after 8am
Pitches are allocated at the time of booking not on the day of arrival. You can arrive at any time of the day assured that your pitch is reserved for you, and not dependent on being first through the reception door in the morning.
Check in is available 9am to 6pm in low season and 8.30am to 7pm in high season. We guarantee that you will occupy your pitch from 12pm on the day of arrival. It is always worth checking at reception if you arrive prior to midday, as pitches are often vacated in time for earlier occupation, but this is of course not guaranteed. If you do want to come to reception to check please leave your car & trailer/caravan in the late arrivals area, in case the pitch is not vacant. If the pitch is not going to be available until the last minute then you are welcome to use all facilities until such time as you can set up.
We ask that pitches are vacated by 11am on the day of departure. This allows time for pitches to be mown and maintained in readiness for the next arrival at 12 midday.
When you booked, you will in most cases have paid a deposit and booking fee and been sent an advisory balance. In low season the remaining balance, subject to any amendments to the booking is payable on arrival at the park, and can be made using cash, personal cheque (up to the guaranteed card limit) or most credit/debit cards (except American Express). You can, however, at any time make a stage payment on your balance ahead of your arrival date. For peak season bookings we require the balance in advance of the arrival date. (see tariff or full booking terms) If you register on our website as an online customer we can make your booking available to view and make payments.
We welcome friendly, well behaved dogs under close control, which means tethered or on a lead. If your dog (whatever the size or breed) is not good around children, other dogs or cats (we have a resident campsite cat) we ask that you do not bring them. In addition to the illegal breeds, (Pit bull terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero and the XL Bully without a certificate of exemption) we reserve the right to exclude XL Bully dogs ( even with an exemption certificate) and variations of the Bully breed. We also exclude Mastiffs, Dobermanns, Japanese Akita, Belgian Malamute and the like. We know and appreciate that the breed does not necessarily signify that a dog will be aggressive, however there is no doubt that some dogs, just by their size and appearance, are intimidating and we have a duty to consider how families will feel about being in close proximity. Dogs (a strict maximum of two per pitch) are permitted all season on the park but must be on a lead. Dogs are not allowed in the pool area. Dogs cannot be left unattended on the park. Fouling on the camping fields will not be tolerated. We have two large hay fields and a small wooded copse on site for dog exercising. Bins for dog waste are available there, and there are others around the park.
Dogs under close control are permitted on Carlyon Bay beach which is privately owned. They are also permitted on the coastal footpath and other public rights of way. (information verified for 2024)
We charge our Booking Fee to make a contribution towards the cost of the high level of security required for taking MOTO Card Payments and other Banking processes, all of which are ever more costly to provide to the level of encrypted security required. However once your initial booking is made, no additional charge will be made for additional payments, booking amendments or date changes.
Yes. There is a request bus stop at the end of our driveway, on the No. 25 Fowey -Par-St Austell-Newquay route, which includes two major supermarkets and St Austell town. St Austell is a hub station for buses and trains and most places in Cornwall can be accessed from there. Par is a branch line with train services to Newquay. There is also a 10 - 15 min walk out to the main A390 Tregrehan Turn stop where you can catch the more frequent number 24 bus from Mevagissey to Fowey via St Austell.
Within reason short term visitors are welcome to visit you on your pitch, but sorry, this does not include use of the Park facilities like swimming pools, crazy golf etc. This is to ensure facilities do not become over crowded or unavailable for the people staying on the Park.
Not too many, but please remember that even talking at normal volume in a tent or awning can be easily heard outside, so keep tv’s and radio volumes to a minimum. As it is considered impolite to cut through another campers pitch or between pitches, we request that you use the parks dedicated paths and roads.
